The Sunshine Coast Film Festival  grew out of the Caloundra Film Festival  and now provides two regions, The Sunshine Coast and Noosa, with the highest quality foreign language cinema, documentaries and special events that make our place more liveable and culturally diverse.

Alongside a yearly Sunshine Coast Film Festival in October, we also deliver the  Sunshine Coast French Film Festival    which is the biggest regional French Film Festival in the country. Same goes for our Italian, Spanish and German Film Festivals.            We also deliver a Better World Film and Design Festival    which is an Ideas on Film Festival gathering the best in documentary and features from around the world and Australia.

 

We also support local and emerging film practitioners by screening their work and providing garlands so they promote their work elsewhere. 

 

All this is done on the smell of an oily rag as compared to other film festivals we receive minimal support from local and state governments.

 

It's supported by the best audiences in the country for the kind of content we provide. ​
