M 105 Min 15+ Directed by Justin Kurzel ( Award winning film maker) Stars Warren Ellis
Warren Ellis is an Australian music icon - Dirty Three founder, longtime Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds collaborator, film composer (The Proposition, The Road), and one of the most celebrated multi-instrumentalists of his generation. He is also humble, is a very likeable on screen subject and a rare talent.
In Justin Kurzel’s (Snowtown) doco debut we visit Ballarat (the scenes with his parents are memorable) Paris and Sumatra as beyond his life story we discover his passion project: A wildlife sanctuary in the forests of Sumatra. At “Ellis Park”, trafficked and mistreated animals are nursed back to health by a devoted team of carers led by indefatigable activist Femke den Haas.
Kurzel’s inspiring documentary, scored by Ellis, is an apt celebration of his talent and humility, and his commitment…
