About the Event

Movie trailer HERE

Through first-hand footage from those on the ground, FIRE FRONT puts the audience directly on the frontlines of Australia's most devastating bushfire season, delivering a uniquely powerful insight into a disaster that captivated the world. There's no bombastic voice-over.  The first hand and archive footage and the clever use of a timeline makes this a sensational film rather than a sensationalised documentary. It's amazing.

The bushfires further ignited the global debate on climate change, triggering fractured responses from across the world, and exposing how divisive this issue remains. The human toll and environmental devastation has been a wake-up call.    Built from almost entirely archival footage, FIRE FRONT is a preview of what lies ahead for not just Australians, but everyone around the globe.

Plus we have two short films from local film makers. Pure Imagination by Kenny Waterson a documentary about a local entrepeneur  Brad Houstonm as he tries to  raise one billion dollars in a bid to launch his dream business ‘Flicks4Good’ and make an impact on the world.”

And Life In Two Words by Director Tam Sainsbury written by Anne Clark about young Oli  who learns that the two words which have brought him misery are the same word which will bring him triumph and joy.
