A Romanian-Norwegian couple, the Gheorghius and their 5 children relocate to a Norwegian village set in a fjord to be closer to family. Initially they settle in well, especially as mother Lisbet is Norwegian and they are welcomed into the community an dthe kids are made to feel welcome at school. Also apparent from the beginning is that the Gheorghius family are devout conservative christians, something that raises eyebrows with some in the village and the school but there is also a community and church close by that welcomes them.
