Betty Bossi was Switerland's Margaret Fulton. In the 1950's a copywriter in an advertising agency Emmi Creola, not really taken seriously by her male colleagues or her husband, created a character, Betty Bossi, which after a modest beginning as a serialised character on paper trying to help sell some kitchenware products via new recipes moved into television and blossomed into a much loved cooking icon --the nation's cook.
