Oscar-winning filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino’s highly anticipated new drama LA GRAZIA (“Grace”) is direct from its world premiere at Venice. The iconic Toni Servillo (also in The Illusion ) stars as Mariano De Santis, a President of the Italian Republic who has some serious decisions to make as his term comes to a close.
A widower and a Catholic, De Santis has a daughter, Dorotea (Anna Ferzetti), who is a legal scholar like himself who advises him and who he is close to. Amid the ceremonies and Presidential duties and with a loyal staff he is presented with three final bills to sog off on. He has to decide on two delicate requests for a presidential pardon…
