Bilbao. Every Sunday when she’s home from boarding school, brilliant and deeply religious 17-year-old Ainiara ( quite simply a wow performance by Blanca Soroa) and her extended family gather for lunch at the home of her paternal grandmother.


One day, she shocks everyone by revealing that, rather than pursue university, she is considering following her faith to become a cloistered nun. It's a bombshell that ripples through the family, particularly affecting her aunt Maite (Patricia López Arnaiz) an intelligent and generally tolerant woman who has been very active in raising her.


Ainiara's pathway challenges Maite's world view and as a non-believer she struggles to comprehend how a young girl could even come to such a decision. She doesn't understand it and fights it. Ainiara's father …
