Uncharted Waters is a comprehensive feature-length documentary about Australian surfing legend, Wayne Lynch. It traces his upbringing in the seaside town of Lorne turning to his prodigous surfing ability and how upon turning pro he literally transformed the sport. 

It also shows that Lynch, almost from the outset was that rare beast, someone who couldn't really care less for the spotlight and loved nothing more than. being away from it all. Always seraching for that unkown break and shying away from commercialisation.  

It's features interviews with other surfing legends like Barton Lynch, Rabbit Barthomelew and Nat Young  to name just a few who all attest to Lynch's pioneering moves their awe of him and their admiration for how he stayed true to himself. Further intreviews with John Witzig and Nick Carroll calrify this.  

Employing great archive, stills and classic surf footage as well as interviews with Lynch himself Uncharted Waters also becomes the most unboring social document of a time in Australian life, especially surfing life that will never be repeated.
